Urban Decay Vice LTD Eyeshadow Palette l Now at Ulta!

The Urban Decay Vice LTD eyeshadow palette is now available on the Ultra website.  The palette includes 20 eyeshadows, a mix of brand new and cult favorite shades.  The shade range includes neutrals, brights, and darker smoky shades. The palette retails for $58 and like the name says, it is limited edition.  The packaging is a neon green case with a jeweled UD logo on the top.

The website says, "Experiment with brights, neutrals and smoky hues in a range of finishes - all in Urban Decay's decadent, velvety eye shadow formula. Taking inspiration from some of their favorite palettes over the years, Urban Decay created an amazing collection loaded with a mix of cult-favorite UD hues and never-before-seen shades you won't find anywhere else."

The shades include:

  • Nameless (medium taupe satin)
  • Backdoor (cool dark brown matte)
  • Deeper (metallic medium bronze)
  • Disco (pale metallic gold w/iridescent glitter)
  • Heat (bright metallic copper)
  • Crystal (icy metallic blue shimmer)
  • Goddess (deep smoky blue w/micro-glitter)
  • Vaporize (medium metallic gray-taupe)
  • Floss (deep metallic emerald w/micro-glitter)
  • Perversion (soft black matte)
  • Provocateur (icy metallic pink w/micro-glitter)
  • Hoodoo (medium metallic violet w/pink shift)
  • Freakshow (bright purple satin)
  • Junkshow (bright pink satin)
  • Blitz (bright metallic gold)
  • Chase (soft metallic bronze)
  • Last Sin (pale champagne shimmer)
  • Roadstripe (iridescent white w/blue-violet shift)
  • Anonymous (pale peachy cream matte)
  • Laced (soft pink-nude matte)

My thoughts: Personally, this palette isn't for me.  This palette is definitely very versatile, but for me I just wouldn't know where to start.  How to combine the shades and make a look.  I can see people who don't have many colorful shadows liking this as well as people who love colorful eyeshadow.

New Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation AND Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation l Spring 2015

Hey everyone!

I just found out the Maybelline is coming out with TWO new formulations of the Fit Me foundation for the Spring 2015 collection.  I only knew about the Fit Me Matte + Poreless formulation but I saw an ad in a magazine for both the matte formulation and a dewy one, called Fit Me Dewy + Smooth.

The matte formulation is for people with normal to oily skin, while the dewy formulation is for normal to dry.  They both are available in 16 shades.

I was really excited when I saw the ad for the dewy formulation because my skin is currently dry and I have had trouble with my foundations, they haven't been working to well with the dry skin on my nose.

Claims for Matte + Poreless:

  • Pores and shine disappear with blurring micro-powders.
  • You look perfectly poreless. Totally natural.

Claims for Dew + Smooth:

  • Hydrates rough and dry patches with smoothing concentrate.
  • Looks fresh, smooth, and totally natural.

I know that the matte formulation also has a new powder to go with it but I don't know if the dewy one has a new powder as well.  I have not seen either of these products in person, but I know a lot of people have spotted the matte one.  I am quite curious about the dewy one so I might get that when I see it in stores.

What do you think about these new products? Love it? Hate it? Want it? Let me know in the comments!

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette

Hey everyone!
So I know this isn't exactly brand new news but Too Faced has released a sequel to their Chocolate Bar Palette.  The new palette, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar, is deeper and warmer shadows than the original.

The palette has 16 eyeshadows and two of them are larger pan sized highlighting shades.  The palette retails for $49, $7 more than a Lorac Pro Palette and $5 less than a UD Naked Palette.  The eyeshadows are infused with the scent of chocolate and are, "antioxidant-rich, cocoa powder-infused shadows."  The description on Sephora describes the type of shades in the palette as, "warm caramels, deep mochas, bronzy chocolate, and vibrant sugared blueberry hues."

Personally, this palette isn't something that I need and I am sure I own colors that are similar to this palette.  There are so many neutral palettes out there (UD Naked, Lorac Pro, etc.) so I feel as though I already have enough neutral eyeshadows.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments, love it? hate it? own it?

NEW Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection l Ulta Exclusive

Hey everyone!
Real Techniques have just released their newest line of brushes, The Bold Metals Collection, at Ulta.  These new brushes retail from $15.99 to $25.99!  A HUGE difference from the prices of the brushes in the regular line.  This collection includes seven brushes and are exclusive to Ulta.

Apparently the different colored brushes are suppose to correspond to a different step in the makeup application process; Gold = Base, Platinum = Eye, and Rose Gold = Finish.

This collection includes:

  • Triangle Foundation Brush 101 - $23.99
  • Arched Powder Brush 100 - $25.99
  • Oval Shadow Brush 200 - $15.99
  • Angled Liner Brush 202 - $15.99
  • Pointed Crease Brush 201 - $15.99
  • Tapered Blush Brush 300- $23.99
  • Flat Contour Brush 301 - $25.99
Flat Contour, Tapered Blush, Arched Powder, Triangle Foundation, Pointed Crease, Oval Shadow, Angled Liner
To me these brushes are way to expensive for a drugstore brand brushes.  Though the flat contour is something I am interested in, I don't know if I would buy it because of the price.  Maybe if there was a Buy One Get One 50% off sale, but even then it's pricey and makes me cringe a bit.

Let me know in the comments what you think! Buy it? Pricey? Cringe worthy? Love it? Hate it? I want to know!
