New Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation AND Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation l Spring 2015

Hey everyone!

I just found out the Maybelline is coming out with TWO new formulations of the Fit Me foundation for the Spring 2015 collection.  I only knew about the Fit Me Matte + Poreless formulation but I saw an ad in a magazine for both the matte formulation and a dewy one, called Fit Me Dewy + Smooth.

The matte formulation is for people with normal to oily skin, while the dewy formulation is for normal to dry.  They both are available in 16 shades.

I was really excited when I saw the ad for the dewy formulation because my skin is currently dry and I have had trouble with my foundations, they haven't been working to well with the dry skin on my nose.

Claims for Matte + Poreless:

  • Pores and shine disappear with blurring micro-powders.
  • You look perfectly poreless. Totally natural.

Claims for Dew + Smooth:

  • Hydrates rough and dry patches with smoothing concentrate.
  • Looks fresh, smooth, and totally natural.

I know that the matte formulation also has a new powder to go with it but I don't know if the dewy one has a new powder as well.  I have not seen either of these products in person, but I know a lot of people have spotted the matte one.  I am quite curious about the dewy one so I might get that when I see it in stores.

What do you think about these new products? Love it? Hate it? Want it? Let me know in the comments!

NEW L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray

Hey everyone!
If you didn't know already, L'Oreal has come out with a new makeup setting spray.  Now this isn't actually the first setting spray to come from a drugstore brand (NYX and e.l.f.) but it is exciting.

According to the L'Oreal website the setting spray is $16.99, which is up there in price when it comes to the drugstore.  The description on the website says, "Keep your makeup looking fresh hours after application: no melting, fading or touch-ups necessary. This lightweight, oil free setting spray locks in your total makeup look, Face, Eyes, and Lips, preventing color from smudging or settling into fine lines for all-day staying power."

It claims to, "lock in makeup for a 'just applied' makeup look all day," and to have a, "lightweight mist, barely there feel."  There is also a link to a $1 off coupon on the site(which I have linked below) but you are still shelling out at least $16 on this product.

I am on the fence about this product because of the price but maybe if I have a coupon and it is on sale I will pick it up and review it for you guys.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments, love it? hate it? over priced?

L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow Crayon l Spring 2015 Collections

L'Oreal finally jumps on the Eye Shadow Crayon bandwagon!
Countless other brands (including: Milani, Urban Decay, NYX, Rimmel) have already released some sort of jumbo eye shadow crayon and now L'Oreal is joining the party.

I don't know the price exactly but I have heard they are around $6.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond.  I have not seen them in any store yet but I am sure they will be everywhere soon enough.  They are launching 8 shades, which range from from neutral colors to a vibrant blue and purple.

These say that they are a 2 in 1 shadow and liner.  They have a thin tip for eyeliner and you can use the side of the tip for shadow.  They also claim to have up to 24 hours of wear time. (though who really wears makeup that long anyways?).

Shades include:

  • Everlasting Gold
  • Enduring Rose
  • Impression Brown
  • Forever Taupe
  • Always Purple
  • Always Aqua
  • Resilient Green
  • Midnight Charcoal

I defiantly think I will pick up a few of these new shadow crayons.  As far as eye shadow crayons go I only own the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, but I am really curious on trying these new ones (and maybe a few other drugstore ones) and seeing how they compare.

What do you think? Into eye shadow crayons or over them?  Let me know in the comments!

Sonia Kashuk Holiday 2014 Collection

Hey everyone!
Today I have another holiday collection for you guys! This time it is from Sonia Kashuk and they are a brand sold at Target with makeup, skincare, and brushes.  The prices are a bit more on the higher end as far as drugstore makeup prices go, but the quality is worth it.

This year Sonia Kashuk's Holiday Collection includes: 2 makeup items, 2 brush sets, 3 skincare items(2 sets), and one limited edition makeup bag.  I am assuming everything is limited edition, but feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

 The collection includes:
The brushes in this set include: a domed powder brush, flat top multipurpose brush, angled duo fiber multipurpose brush, foundation brush, eye shadow brush, blending brush, angled duo fiber crease brush, domed pencil brush, synthetic pointed eye liner brush, and lash/brow groomer.

This palate includes five shades of nude lip colors, including: blush nude, beige nude, pink nude, peachy nude, and mauve nude.  It comes in a gold compact with a mirror and a long handled lip brush for application.  The palette has warm and cool nudes and ranges from, " rosey and pink to traditional nude in a satin shine finish, perfect for any skin tone."
This palette seems to have four different shades of eye shadow, including: a matte black, a shimmery brown, a metallic gold, and a creamy white.  The palette includes a mirror and seems to have the same gold packaging as the lip palette.
This set includes four brushes: a powder brush, duo fiber shader brush, angled eye brush, and a smudge brush.  These brushes also come with a carrying bag.  The bag is black with gold zippers trimmed in white and black tassels.
This set includes travel size versions of the Purple Seductia body butter, shower gel, and eau de toilette.  The Purple Seductia scent is one of pomegranate, rose and patchouli.  This set is perfect if you like the scent, it is a great way to sample the different products.
This set includes travel size versions of the Red Promisia body butter, eau de toilette, ad the crème body wash.  The Red Promisia scent is sandalwood, jasmine and vanilla.  Just like the Purple Holiday Seductia Travel Set (what a mouth full) it is a perfect way to sample different products in this scent.
This is a very rich and moisturizing body treatment that melts into the skin and adds a "discreet shimmer and sheen on skin for a subtle glow."  "The formula nourishes skin with Shea Butter, Edelweiss Flower Extract and White Tea Extract. Sweet Almond Protein softens and repairs dry skin while Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide, from the exotic Indian healing plant, softens skin and forms a protective moisture barrier to lock moisture into the skin."  It is paraben-free and is suppose to enhance skin tone and neutralize skin's imperfections.
This bag is black with gold zippers trimmed with white and tassels.  It is made out of polyester and the inside is lined.  If you are someone who likes the 1920s or flapper girls, you might like this bag.  It is a very simple bag but has that flapper girl flare with the tassels.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments!  Love it? Hate it? Planning on buying anything? Tried anything?

Tip Tuesday: How to Make Your Eyes Look Brighter

Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to be sharing a tip with you guys that many of you have probably heard of, using a nude eyeliner in your waterline.

What it does: It is suppose to make your eyes look bigger, brighter, and more awake.  It is an alternative to using black eyeliner in your waterline.

Now I use a nude eyeliner in my waterline pretty much everyday during the school year and when I'm wearing makeup.  My favorite is the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in 005 Nude.  I love this eyeliner because it actually stays in my waterline for a pretty long time and it isn't to pale that it looks white, it is a good creamy skin tone color that really helps to make me look more awake.

What I love about this eyeliner is that it's long wearing, under $5, and the creamy formula reminds me of Urban Decay eyeliners but just a bit creamier.  It is matte and a good color for a range of skin tones.  I recommend picking up a nude eyeliner if you are looking for a way to brighten your eyes.

Makeup Collection 2014: Lipstick

Hey everyone!
Today I'm doing my second installment of my Makeup Collection 2014 series.  This post is all about lipsticks, not lip stains, lip gloss, or even lip pencils, just lipstick.  I mainly own drugstore lipsticks with the exception of one high end lipstick sample. I will include all the pictures and swatches at the end, along with links though out the post.  Lets get started!

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in 17 Plumrose, 42 Rose Femme, 43 Pretty Natural, and 26 Nude Creme
Over the last few months Milani lipsticks have become my favorite drugstore lipsticks.  They are around $6 and smell like watermelon.  They come in a variety of different finishes and the formula is great, it is not drying, feels great on your lips, and they have a great shade range of 36 colors.  That is probably the reason I already own four of them.
You can find these lipsticks at your local drugstore or on the Milani website which also tells you the finish of each lipstick (click here to see).

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in 450 Mauve Mania, 645 Red Revival, 935 Sin-A-Mon, and 955 Espresso Exposed
These lipsticks are pretty well know and loved by many beauty bloggers.  I haven't used them in a while (possibly due to my love affair with Milani Lipsticks) but from what I can remember the formula is good as well as the color payoff.  They smell a bit lick crayons which isn't as nice as the watermelon scent from Milani, thankfully I'm not to sensitive when it comes to smells.  They are ok lipsticks, I don't find myself reaching for them very often though.  There is a good color range and Maybelline is always coming out with new limited edition shades.  They are relatively inexpensive and you can find them anywhere that sells Maybelline (so basically everywhere). (click here to see)

Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in Hooligan
I have a sample of this lipstick and I love it!  The formula is nice, not glittery but does have a sheen to it.  It is suppose to make your lips look bigger but without a plumper.  The color is a nice mauve plum and I really enjoy the sample.  The packaging seems to be a bit faulty, the lipstick rubs into the holder, if that makes any sense, creating lines in the side of it.  I don't know if all of them are like that or just mine but it's still worth buying.  They come in 12 shades and are $21 on the Sephora website (click here to see).

Wet N Wild Mega Last Lip Color in 918D Cherry Bomb and 906D Wine Room
I can't say to much about these lipsticks because I haven't tried them enough or at all really.  They are a matte finish and very inexpensive.  If you are interested try and wait until there is a buy one get one half off sale or a buy one get one free sale.  I will do a review of them when I try them out more,  you can get them at any of your local drugstores that sell Wet N Wild (click here to see).

(Left to right) Milani 17 Plumrose, Maybelline 935 Sin-A-Mon, Buxom Hooligan, Milani 42 Rose Femme
(Left to right) Maybelline 450 Mauve Mania, Milani 43 Pretty Natural, Milani 26 Nude Creme, Maybelline 955 Espresso Exposed, Maybelline 645 Red Revival, Wet N Wild 918D Cherry Bomb, Wet N Wild 906D Wine Room

Let me know if you want me to make a video or a whole blog post on any of these products I've shown above.  Also let me know what you want to see next and if there are any products you want me to review.

Makeup Collection 2014: Concealers

Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to be showing you the concealers that I currently have in my makeup collection!

Tarte BB Tinted Undereye Corrector (fair to light)
I got this Tarte concealer in the Beauty Without Boundaries set from QVC earlier this year.  This is a corrector meaning that it is suppose to mask the appearance of dark circles and discoloration.  It has a more peachy or salmon like color to it.  I haven't used it in a while but it does a pretty good job of masking my dark circles.  I recommend setting it with a very light or translucent powder because a powder with coverage can make it look a bit orange.  The concealer is still available on the QVC website for $29, click here to see it.  You can also purchase it on the Tarte website for $34, click here to see it.

Sonia Kashuk All Covered Up Concealer (01 Porcelain)
Now I haven't used this concealer enough to say whether I love it or not, but I do still have some thoughts on it from the few times I've tried it.  This is suppose to be a full coverage concealer with a dewy or satin finish. The product comes in a jar and with the lightest touch you get a nice coverage, less is more with this product.  It seems to be a good concealer but I can't really say anything until I try it out some more.  You can purchase this at Target for around $9, click here to see it.

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer (Radiant)
This concealer seems to be popular with a lot of people.  It was never my favorite concealer, I have very dark circles and this I feel like doesn't cover them as well as my Fit Me concealer but it does cover them.  It's good for a natural look.  The shade I have is Radiant which is suppose to be a good highlighting shade, but on me (I'm very fair) it is more close to my skin tone but for anyone darker than me (light, medium, etc.) it should be fine.  This shade has a very pinkish undertone to it so if you have more yellow undertones this might not be the best for you.  You can find this at your local drugstore, click here to see it.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (Fair)
So far I have to say this is currently one of my top concealers.  It has great coverage and it's just a great concealer, plus its from the drugstore.  I use it for my undereyes and any blemishes, it has a doe foot applicator and I definatly recommend checking it out.  It doesn't really crease to much (keep in mind that every concealer I have tried has creased on me) and I just set it with a powder and I'm good to go.  Great concealer and you can find it at your local drugstore, click here to see it.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Concealer (Light)
This is the first concealer I ever got, it is a stick concealer.  I had purchased it before I was into makeup to cover up some blemishes that I had.  It is a good concealer, great for travel, and easy to blend.  As far as coverage its defiantly medium to full but I find that's the case with most stick concealers.  I haven't used it in a while but I do think its a nice concealer.  It comes in 8 different shades and it is $22 on the Tarte website, click here to see it.

Benefit Fake Up Concealer (01 Light)
Last but not least we have a "hydrating crease-control concealer" from Benefit.  Now I do like this concealer and I bought it at a time when my under eye area was a bit dry and I think it's hydrating (Keep in mind I haven't used this in a while).  I didn't find it to be drying at all.  It helped brighten my undereye circles and its a good product.  It is a stick concealer, downside being it only comes in 3 shades (light, medium, deep).  I think it's definatly a product worth trying, it was good at brightening and was hydrating.  You can get this anywhere that sells Benefit Cosmetics for $24, click here to see it.

Those are all the concealers I own, I hope you all enjoyed this post.  Comment below and let me know what part of my makeup collection you want to see next.  Also let me know what kinds of posts you guys are interested in seeing.  Thanks for reading!

Review: Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Too Cool

Hey everyone!
Sorry it's been so long since I last did a post, I have been busy with school and working on my YouTube channel.

So today I'm doing a review on a product that is somewhat new but I'm sure you all have heard of it.  It is the Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue, they are the newest baby lips that Maybelline has come out with.  I own two of them, one in the clear shade, Too Cool, and another in a tinted berry shade, Berry Soft, but today I am going to be reviewing the clear one.

Now the new Dr. Rescue baby lips are medicated lip balms, which couldn't be more perfect for the winter time, and they come in six shades.  Five of those shades are tinted and the only one that is clear is Too Cool.  This retails for around $3.49, which is a bit more pricey than the other baby lips that sell for around $2.99.

The packaging on these are different from the other baby lips Maybelline has put out.  Though they are similar to the Baby Lips Electro, the packaging is all white and the color of the letters vary on what shade you have.  For instance the clear shade has light blue letters while the Berry Soft shade has berry colored letters.  Other than that, the packaging is the same as the others.

These claim to have medicated care and twelve hour hydration.  On the Maybelline website it says, "Medicated care soothes sore lips and combats dryness."  It also claims that in one minute lips feel soothed, in one day lips look more smooth, and that in one week lips are renewed.

Now those are some pretty strong claims to make, but I have to say I am really impressed with this lip balm.  I am definitely a lip balm junkie and I honestly think that you can never have enough lip balm.  I defiantly recommend this lip balm, it is very soothing on the lips which is perfect for the winter and I'm not sure if it actually meets every single one of the claims but I definitely think that it is a good lip balm.  This helps to hydrate my chapped lips and my lips do look and feel smoother after using this.

Overall, I really like this lip balm and I highly recommend it.  I actually am almost finished with my first one and I already have a backup of it waiting to be used.

I plan on picking up more shades of the Dr. Rescue Baby lips, so be on the look out for a new post on that.  If you have tried this product, please leave a comment down below letting me know what you think of it.  Also let me know what types of posts you want to see in the future.  I hope you all are having a great Christmas!

Review: Almay Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm

Hey everyone!  Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been swamped with homework but I'm going to  try to post more regularly again!

Maybe about a month ago I picked up this Almay Liquid Lip Balm from Target.  Now I picked it up because I have been wanting to do a brand review on Almay because I feel like I never hear anyone talking about their products.  Basically this product claims to have the lip conditioning care of a balm with the shiny color of a lip gloss. To be honest I'm not really into lip gloss and I don't own many of them.  I don't like the fact that they are usually sticky and personally I just don't think they look that good on me, I am more of a matte lip person.

Anyways, I picked mine up in the shade "Just Plum Good" which is kind of a darker reddish plum color but nothing to dramatic.  It is a great shade for fall and looks really nice paired with a lip stain.  Now on the website it claims that, "shiny color drenches lips with 2x hydration as lip-loving conditioners provide 194% more moisture for softer, smoother lips over time. non-sticky."

I'm not to sure if it really "conditions" your lips but I do like the fact that it isn't sticky at all.  It also doesn't have any bits of shimmer or glitter in it which I like, it just has a nice glossy finish.  As far as meeting the claims go, it isn't sticky and it does give a shiny color but I don't know if its really hydrating.  I haven't noticed it to dry out my lips or anything, but I am someone who has chapped lips a lot so I'm always wearing lip balm.  So I can't really tell if it is hydrating.

They are about $4.99 at Target and the shade range is pretty good.  They come in 10 different shades, from a bright red to a lilac to a light pink.

So my final thoughts on this product are that I actually like it.  It isn't sticky which is one of the things I hate most about lip glosses and I think it looks pretty good on me.  There is a nice shade range and it is really reasonably priced at around $4.99 because most lip glosses I see at the drugstore can be anywhere from $6 to $8.  This is a really good product for anyone looking for a non sticky lip gloss without any short of shimmer or glitter.  I don't see a lot of "liquid lip balms" out besides this one and the Maybelline Color Elixirs, which just recently came out.  But I think the Maybelline ones sell for around $8.99, which is in my opinion a bit pricey.  I have no clue if they are similar because I haven't tried the Maybelline ones but all I know is that the Almay ones are about half the price.

All in all I am really impressed with this product and I think that I might purchase a few more shades in the future.

If you have tried this product please let me know what you thought of it in the comments down below.  Also if you have tried the Maybelline Color Elixir please let me know if it is similar to the Almay one.
