Urban Decay Vice LTD Eyeshadow Palette l Now at Ulta!

The Urban Decay Vice LTD eyeshadow palette is now available on the Ultra website.  The palette includes 20 eyeshadows, a mix of brand new and cult favorite shades.  The shade range includes neutrals, brights, and darker smoky shades.The palette retails for $58 and like the name says, it is limited edition.  The packaging is a neon green case with a jeweled UD logo on the top.

The website says, "Experiment with brights, neutrals and smoky hues in a range of finishes - all in Urban Decay's decadent, velvety eye shadow formula. Taking inspiration from some of their favorite palettes over the years, Urban Decay created an amazing collection loaded with a mix of cult-favorite UD hues and never-before-seen shades you won't find anywhere else."

The shades include:

• Nameless (medium taupe satin)
• Backdoor (cool dark brown matte)
• Deeper (metallic medium bronze)
• Disco (pale metallic gold w/iridescent glitter)
• Heat (bright metallic copper)
• Crystal (icy metallic blue shimmer)
• Goddess (deep smoky blue w/micro-glitter)
• Vaporize (medium metallic gray-taupe)
• Floss (deep metallic emerald w/micro-glitter)
• Perversion (soft black matte)
• Provocateur (icy metallic pink w/micro-glitter)
• Hoodoo (medium metallic violet w/pink shift)
• Freakshow (bright purple satin)
• Junkshow (bright pink satin)
• Blitz (bright metallic gold)
• Chase (soft metallic bronze)
• Last Sin (pale champagne shimmer)
• Roadstripe (iridescent white w/blue-violet shift)
• Anonymous (pale peachy cream matte)
• Laced (soft pink-nude matte)

My thoughts: Personally, this palette isn't for me.  This palette is definitely very versatile, but for me I just wouldn't know where to start.  How to combine the shades and make a look.  I can see people who don't have many colorful shadows liking this as well as people who love colorful eyeshadow.

Kat Von D Innerstellar Eyeshadow Palette l Spring 2015

Kat Von D is coming out with a new palette for Spring.  The palette will be limited edition and is currently available  on Sephora's website exclusively for VIB and VIB Rouge members (click link here).

The palette includes 12 matte and shimmer lunar inspired shades.  The palette is set up into three quads, each with their own highlighting base shade.

The shades include:

• Gravitron- soft iridescent pink            
• Vast- pearlized taupe
• Lycan- matte cream
• Night Crawler- matte dusty beige
• Dios- silver gray iridescence
• Lunacy- rich pearlized purple
• Orion- matte chocolate brown
• Dark Star- purplish pewter
• 3am- metallic champagne
• Astrological- pale lilac sheen
• Moonshine- metallic silver
• Killing Moon- matte black

New! VENUS: The Grunge Palette l Lime Crime

Hey everyone!

If you haven't noticed I am posting twice a week on Monday and Thursdays!  New posts will be up on both days every week!  Moving on....

 

If you didn't know Lime Crime has released a new palette, VENUS: The Grunge Palette, with 8 "game changing" eye shadows.  These shadows are full sized and described as, "unconventional new-trals and rusty reds."  This palette includes a mirror (which is always a bonus) and is $42 on the Lime Crime website (currently out of stock).

 

 

   The shadows included are:

• VENUS: The color of bruised fruit (velvet matte)
• SHELL: Opalescent shell-pink (glow)
• AURA: Golden ivory (glow)
• CREATION: Rusty brown (matte)
• ICON: Dirt brown (matte)
• REBIRTH: The color of an over-ripe nectarine (matte)
• DIVINE: Dusty stone (matte)
• MUSE: Deep burgundy red (matte)

 

I haven't actually tried anything from the brand Lime Crime yet (though I want to) so I don't know personally how good their shadows are. This palette looks very pretty, though I wouldn't say this is a must have palette, but if you like more warm toned colors and red toned shadows this might be something to check out.
